Original and West Coast, Y'all!

Biography

"The Red Square" is a brotherhood of three friends from the utopian beach town of White Rock, British Columbia. Growing up in "The Rock", the kids there were influenced greatly by our spectacular surroundings. The ocean engrained the rhythm, but the mountains enforced the rock. We are set apart by the fact that we are playing for the love and not for the money. Our songs tell a BC perspective of life, issues, relationships and music. The Red Square loves to rock and roll with lyrics that hopefully convey our appreciation of the world and people that we connect with. Peaceful Skies for one and all...

Pack It In

Pack It In
Wiseman & Scott

Alarm clock warning
Shot outta bed
17 days comin’ together in my head
Runnin’ around, gotta get it done
Not a minute in the glorious sun

Pack It In
Pack It In

On the West, a Sleepy Hollow
Where they toil; it’s the soil
The Garden greenhouse effect on my mind.
You bet your clock it’s after four, Bob
Where’s your Uncle
You know what that’s for, Bob.

Pack It In
Pack It In

Forget the song of the Serenading Man
Who rejoices in the singing of his Scam
Hold ‘n platter out for a Power Plan
Oil they’re sellin’!
There’s no use Helen
We’ve got the answer for the direction.

Double Rum

DOUBLE RUM
Myck YZ

Drinkin’ double-rum on a Monday afternoon,

The Doc he told me that it’ll be my doom,

If the booze don’t get You the cola will soon,

Right now I’m lookin’ at a daylight moon.

Don’t You know that I could drink all day,

Exept my love’ll be lonely and she wouldn’t even say.

Quaffing pints of brew Wednesday night on Main,

Legion karaoke, old folks singin’ Roy Orbinsane.

Maybe I should get up and make a fool of myself again,

Or I could give a hoot and watch the moon wane.

Don’t You know that I could drink all day,

Except my love’ll be lonely and she wouldn't even say.

Drinkin’ double-rum on Monday afternoon (x2)

(guitar solo)

Drinkin’ double-rum on Monday afternoon,

My Mama told me to take it to my room,

If the blues don’t get You, the coda will soon,

Right now I’m lookin’ at a daylight moon.

Don't You know...

(chorus x4, with finale)

Peaceful Skies

PEACEFUL SKIES
Myck YZ/P$

The Northern Lights keep hush with autumn’s sacred blush,

I sweep no red leaf with false pride, the seasons keep no sides.

The stubborn winters return and summer forests burn,

And the moon, it owns the tides.

Big rocks, big trees, big sky , big dreams,

It’s the truth that prevails, seams-essential for the sails.

I know for this big boat to keep afloat,

I keep my chin up when it gails.

Stand up, raise you hands, how do You love the land?

We are skookum, we’re not bibe,

Do You really want to hide?

I see into the eyes,

Listen to the cries,

Touch the peaceful skies.

I know, and I know if I am strong I will make a right from wrong,

When I’m gone it’ll remain,

Though it may not look the same,

For as long as I’m here it whispers,

“Have no fear”,

A land strong before its name.

Stand up, raise your hands…

I see into the eyes

Listen to the cries

Touch the Peaceful Skies

It was there before theirs, before theirs, before theirs…
