Janssen Counts Jr., better known as J3, is compelled to bring the truth to the hip hop industry. Growing up in the south, Little Rock, Arkansas to be exact, he crafted his rap skills at the age of 16. Watching his older brother be progressive and make influential music, J3 knew his calling was to finish where his brother left off. With the support of his family, J3 grabbed his weapon of choice, his pencil, and began creating lyrical verses that would kill any competition.

J3’s influences include Jay-Z, Kanye, and Lupe Fiasco, however he describes his unique style as powerful truth in lyrical verses. Exploring different outlets to enhance his versatility, J3 found others who felt the need to tell the truth. J3 help create Lyrically Precise Entertainment (LPE). This independent record label has been showcased on Worldstar Hip Hop under J3’s movement known as Truth Era Regime.

With two successful mixtapes knocked out, J3 is currently working on “The Intermission Mixtape” and also his first full length album called “Viral.” J3’s overall goal is for his believers to hear and become moved by his music. To be one of the greatest to quit a 9 to 5 job takes faith, determination and a fan base of believers. J3 is ready for the Regime life, are you?
