About The Relative Funktion
"Ethereal Plaza", The Relative Funktion's first album is now available at go buy one, it'll knock u'r socks off!!!!!!! *WARNING* not responsible for loss of or damage to listeners' socks or other clothing items damaged or misplaced during the listening of the "Ethereal Plaza" album. "In the spirit of Chuck, Keith, Jimmy and Jimi..................Rock." -Ol' fashioned, good time, youth driven 'Rock n Roll' is back!! It's back in the hearts of the Relative Funktion. With a songwriting style reminiscent of rock and roll forms nearly forgotten in today's industry, an extremely talented and diverse brother duo on strings, a creative and aggresive drummer along with a unique styled and powerful vocalist rounding it all out ...this is one show NOT to be missed!! rotating around the core trio of Johnny Velsor on guitars, Tommy Velsor on bass and Rob Lettis on lead vocals, the band spent years evolving from a high school cover band to a full fledged rock outfit styling there own music and artistic ideals. after dozens of jams with many assorted musicians and friends, the band's final lineup had become united as Rob, John, Thomas and cousin Matt Cherowitzo on drums under the name "The Relative Funktion" in January 2007, and recorded there first album Ethereal Plaza that summer. shortly after the album's recording, Matt's work situation led him to LA, regrettably forcing him out of the outfit, to be replaced by (insert good drummer here), who's steady throbbing beats marches the band foward from then on and completes this blazing ensemble. These boys are extremely talented and passionate, with a stage presence worthy of such musicianship.
