The Remedials formed in 2003 developing their own brand of eclectic, vocal driven melodic rock. Live, The Remedials balance a concoction of rock, acoustic guitar and piano with an energetic stage show and good humoured audience interaction. The Perth four piece secured a record deal with Pavement Music in September 2004. They recorded their debut EP with veteran technician/producer Jeremy Allom (Massive Attack, David Bowie) and are currently recording their highly anticipated second EP.
Having supported bands such as Gyroscope, Little Birdy, Magic Dirt and Shihad, The Remedials have shown they have what it takes. The melodic vocal style of Nicholas Nicholls has the ability to take the audience on an emotional rollercoaster, whilst James Dunn’s unique voice and their use of layered vocal harmonies ensures The Remedials stand out from the crowd. With a solid rhythm foundation featuring Matt Jackson on the drums and Nigel Watts on bass guitar, The Remedials never miss a beat and always leave the audience wanting more. The musical ability of James Dunn sees him moving between piano, electric and acoustic guitar, an option which gives The Remedials a inimitable sound which leaves no genre unchartered.
