The Reply

The Reply

Sex, politics, drug addiction and depression; "The Reply" finds melodies that bring us together and tear us apart. Embodied with the sound of Elliot Smith, Radiohead, and Beck, "The Reply" is one of the few musicians who will make a mark in this world full of music.

Clinton John Tingler aka “Klynnt Tyngler” (Born July 11, 1979) is an American singer-song writer and musician. He was born in Warren, Ohio, and resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he first gained popularity. His primary instrument is the guitar, but he is also proficient at piano, synth, bass guitar, and drums. Klynnt has a distinctive vocal style characterized by his use of soft breathy jazz, combined with emotional growls and screams. You can often hear the use of multi-tracking to create vocal layers, textures, and harmonies. After playing in the Christian rock band Pierced for several years, Klynnt began his solo career in 2006 with the release of An American Soundtrack, on the independent record label Broken Beat. In 2007 he began to work under the alias The Reply. This signified a strong shift in musical style to a more Electronica based structure. Klynnt has suffered from Bipolar, child abuse, sex addiction and drug use. These topics are regular themes in his lyrics. Klynnt is currently working on his Fifth studio album, Reframing Of The Mind, which will be release March of 2011.

They seem to forget where they got all their power
Now all they can do is control and devour
They're taking away all of our civil liberties
They sell us a lie and of course we believe

What the fuck is America coming to?

I got a hole in my head and I just can't fill it up
I wonder how in the world has every citizen given up?
They're depriving our rights so that we can feel safe
Dictatorship's the new American way

What the fuck is America coming to?
