Bio

The Reprieve is defined as: A temporary relief from any pain or suffering. That is what music means to us. My name is Evan Rundle, and I am the Lead Vocalist / Creator of the band The Reprieve. I began playing the piano at the ripe age of four, and was classically trained along side his twin brother for 10 years, until i became quite the child prodigy. By age ten I was playing at a tenth grade level, and received countless recital recognitions, and competition accolades. I starting writing my own music at age 15 when my parents got a divorce. I discovered that music could be my relief, and that my message could help others. I have written over 50 songs since then, and feel like I have connected with thousands of fans. It wasn’t until I moved up to Orlando to go to school for audio engineering that I really found myself as a musician. With the help and guidance form my fantastic drummer Jeff Larcher, I have developed a sound that is all my own. The Reprieve is made up of four musicians, three of which, including myself, have Associates in Science degrees from Valencia Community College for Music and Sound technology. We have written, recorded and produced several tracks which can be found at Myspace.com/TheReprieveBand, and are looking to take our band to the next level. Our influnces include, but are not limited to: Elton John, Billy Joel, Green Day, Sweet Home Alabama, Matchbox 20, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gavin Degraw, Garth Brooks, Jason Mraz, Bush, Nirvana, Sublime, Bob Marley, Bon Jovi, Daughtry, Nickleback, Buck Cherry, and many many more. We have some of the “Big Wigs” in New York that are interested in us, but we need to develop a fan base, and get the word out first before we think about record contracts. All you have to do is close your eyes, and open your heart, and our music is sure to speak to your soul. Music truly is the only universal language, and The Reprieve can speak to anyone regardless of age, race, or creed, and will communicate for generations to come!
