Biography

Theresa Davis is one of Atlanta's best known performance poets, giving voice to the things that you've been thinking but never could articulate. Theresa has gone on to forge an impressive career as a solo performer, winning poetry slams and featuring at spoken word venues around Atlanta. Currently ranked the 8th Women Poet of the World, this National Poetry Slam Champion is the parent, educator, activist, poet, artist, pirate your parents warned you about!

Theresa Davis has shared the stage with Jane Fonda, Bernice Jonhson Regan (Sweet Honey and the Rock), Eve Ensler, Alice Lovelace, Kodac Harrison, Patricia Smith, and Rising Appalachia to name a few. Voted Best of Gay Atlanta for Spoken work in Southern Voice 2009 and Best Poet in Atlanta in Creative Loafing 2009.
