Bio

The Resemblance is an original band from Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Paul and Lee Murray, two brothers of age 15 and 18, founded the band in 2007. In November 2011, The Resemblance's current lineup was completed with the additions of bassist Adriano Carengelo, 18, and drummer Cameron Roux, 12.
The Resemblance's musical style is a mixture of many others. Playing from blues jams to neoclassical instrumentals, the band combines all its influences to create a new, unique sound. The boys execute this innovative style with seamless coordination. While the Murray brothers shred together in harmonized guitar solos, Carengelo provides a jazzy bassline as Roux pulls off blistering fills.
In March 2011, the band finished its first studio record. The self-titled EP features five tracks, with its own indvidual flavor. First song "All That's Evil" hits you from the start with a heavy riff, whereas "Northern Lights", an instrumental, soothes the listener with a catchy chorus of dual guitars. A Milestone of The Resemblance's progress, the album represents the effort and commitment that the boys have put into the group.
The band plays at local pubs and cafes, as well as their schools. Playing a show almost every weekend, performing has become a pivotal part of the boys' lives. The Resemblance strives to put on a top-notch performance, impressing the crowd with the confident stage presence. With increasing popularity in the local music scene, the band sells more and more cd's at every gig. As they head in the right direction, The Resemblance hopes for further future success in the coming years.
