Bio

By default through thier name, The Resets have unto themselves a birthright to destroy and subsequently "reset" their music at will. Formed in 2005 by Caleb Bue, and Dave Ford over several dozen beers and a discussion of mutual disdain for current popular rock music and a need to give thier own musical ideas a run through the ringer, Caleb and Dave performed the first Resets songs using a scratched up Joan Jett 45 and an out of tune guitar. Quickly evolving to include latop powered beats and synths, Caleb and Dave performed several shows before Brian Oppel from the legendary band KLED, asked to join in the mix to provide serious ninja wizardry on the drums. Thusly, that lineup remains today. The Resets most prevelant influences/obvious comparisons? The bizzare humor of Ween, the unsubtlety of the Melvins, the psychosis of the Pixies, the raw power of The Who, the rythms of Fugazi, and the etherial jamming of Sonic Youth amply describe the Resets sound. What sets the Resets apart from other bands is their ability to transform each song and performance into a genre bending blast of sonic immediacy. They subjugate the notion that a band should align themselves to any particular format and through challenging the listeners concepts of rock music they aim to turn people "on" to the idea that the Resets music is an ever evolving monstrosity that must be reckoned with, and not a show missed.
