"Thoroughly engaging debut of haunting folk songs crafted with clever, and unexpected, dynamic twists." - Bandcamp - Bandcamp
"Here at TVD HQ, music arrives daily. By the minute, by the hour, perhaps too much. So, when asked to premiere a track, the thinking is well, this really needs to be outstanding. Which is why we’re delighted to premiere “The Salt” from San Francisco’s There’s Talk. Because it is. Outstanding." —Ed. - The Vinyl District
"As described in lyric and achieved through delivery and sparse electric arrangement is Lee’s ability to shake the mightiest beings to an inner core of protection and safety." - Sjimon Gompers - Impose Magazine
"San Francisco trio There’s Talk conjured up one of the most majestic tracks of 2013 in the form of CitR featured The Salt.
Somewhere between the angelic innocence of London Grammar, and the bittersweet beauty of St. Vincent, they’ve matched the elegance of the track with stunning visuals, directed by Marta Dymek.
A difficult video to transfer into words, there’s an otherworldliness to the visuals that set them a part from anything else I’ve seen these year. From the luxurious costumes, to the idyllic settings, it’s absolute perfection.." - Josh Dalton - Crack in the Road
"This new band is quietly emerging into the San Francisco rock scene, as their music is touching, and has the potential make waves.." - The Deli Magazine
San Francisco art pop trio There’s Talk deliver majestic electronic folk.
We have the pleasure of premiering the outfit’s new single “In Your Hands” from their upcoming EP, set for release in early 2016. This time out the band’s spearhead, Olivia Lee, has skewed the haunting sparsity of their debut for more eclectic influences including shoegaze, electronica, ’90s rock, and doom.
The resulting single blends the retro dreaminess of yesteryear with distorted vocals and melodic modern accoutrements. It is a blissful pillow of sound that is at once both sedating and exciting. By virtue of the single, I’m certain we can expect a gorgeous sophomore EP from these talented folks. - The Vinyl District

Bio
The solo effort began as a self-defined “compartmentalizing of hurt” by San Francisco based multi-instrumentalist Olivia Lee (vocals, synths, programming, guitar) as she wrote in between other collaborated efforts.
She began recording in the the converted garage studio of friend Nic De La Riva and finished recording and mixing with engineer Ian Pellicci (Yann Tiersen, Rogue Wave, Hauschka) at Tiny Telephone.
In Autumn of 2012, Kellen Balla (electronics, guitar, vocals) and Young Lee (guitar, vocals) were added with hopes of recreating and expanding the ambitions of the record for live performance.
The debut EP, Tiny Stands, rich with eclectic subtleties and dark harmonies reminiscent of folk influence Sufjan Stevens and textural confessions of Youth Lagoon, released Fall of 2013 garnering front page recognition from Vimeo, Bandcamp, Impose Magazine, and Crack in the Road.
Through 2014 the band toured regionally, supporting Glass Animals, Arthur Beatrice, Waters, Holly Miranda, AKW, and Astronauts, Etc. Utilizing vocal looping, live electronics, lush harmonies, and spacious guitars the three took to a hauntingly dynamic wall of sound that now sets the tone for the full band, There’s Talk.
