The Restless

The Restless

BandRock

The Restless is a blend of New York indie rock and uber eccentric romanticism and has enough energy to blow the roof off of any venue they can sink their teeth into. Driven by the careening and epic vocals of Damon Daunno, The Restless bring earnest musicianship to an otherwise vapid pop scene.

Biography

The Restless—a band that certainly lives up to its name—spontaneous and energetic, yet simultaneously introspective with enough cool-guy machismo to give Bogart a run for his money.

The boys came together in April 2006 after frontman Damon Daunno was introduced to Brandon Intelligator and Theo Aronson through a mutual friend. After running through the thankless East Village circuit, Daunno’s Jeff Buckley-fueled pop matured into a fresh new sound defiant of simple reference. A few months later they met Gregg Sulzer, whose drumming immediately brought the band far above the various haphazard “groups” loafing around Manhattan.

From the Knitting Factory to the historic Sin-é, The Restless have etched their way into the hearts of countless kids and adults alike. Coming from various backgrounds in jazz, punk, pop and even hip-hop, these four men won’t bother with lame gimmicks. If their driving, melodic backbeats, dreamy heart-felt pleas or their incendiary live performances don’t do it for you—put your fingers on your neck and start counting, I dare you to feel a pulse.
