Where truth and beauty are within the meaning of music. When the words call out to the love that waits inside of you.

Biography

“The Return of God Volume. 1” is a concept album inspired by and designed for an upcoming film -"The Return of God." Combining the haunting sounds of a Sirens’ call on the album’s first track - “I,” songs about truth and beauty in “A Moment” and “You” to a pensive, emotional “It Is What It Is,” this multi-timbral album combines deep emotional lyrics with masterful musical performances.

Greater than the sum of its parts, Ashley Beattie fronts an Oakville/Burlington collective effort that takes listeners from 9 to 90 on a beautiful, musical journey to a special place which lies deep inside.

Do You Believe

Written By: S. William Wallace

Waiting in the morning
While the grass is growing and the world is spinning in time
Hoping for the day that someone will say
That it's gonna work out fine
Work out fine
Believing in the dreamers
And the world’s bee keepers
And the honey that they do produce
Betting on the players
That they answer all the prayers
That were made by me and you
Me and you

Do You Believe, believe in me
Do you Believe, believe in me

Living in the summer
In all the daylights' wonder
While hiding underneath the shade
Walking in the wind as the rain begins.
To fall in on my day, on my day
Talking to the strangers
Believing in the dangers
That the world once did create
Hoping for the wisdom
of the little children
Hoping it's not too late
Not too late

Helping out the helpless
Who seem so selfish with their wants and needs
And we’re punishing the punishers
For the goodness of their deeds, of their deeds
Praying to the gods
Who always seem at odds
With my inner voice
Giving me suggestions, To answer all the questions
Denying freedom of choice, Freedom of choice

Today

Written By: S. William Wallace

Was it just another day
Another day to waste away
Another day that I’d never say
What I wanted to say
Was it just the time was wrong
Or had the feelings come and gone
Would the sun rise within the dawn
That took so long

Bout a day
Bout a day
Bout a day
Bout a day
Like today
Like today
Like today
Like today

Seconds come in second’s chance
Minutes matter at a second glance
Moments hold such romance
That can last
A second chance
The hours seem so far away
The turning points that connect the day
The measurements that we have to pay
For a day like today

If I could write down all I thought
the words I heard, the words I forgot
the lot of my life
the lot of my life
if I could say what I wanted to say
the thoughts I thought and the dreams for which I pay
If I could say,
All I wanted to say
If you could see what I see
If I could be all I could be
All I could be all I could be
If I knew what I knew
If I could do what I want to see it through
And make it new and make it new
All I could do
All I could do
On a day
Like today
On a day
Like today

Do the hours just while away
Is there any more to say
About a day
Like today
On a day
Like today

Would You Kill Me

Written By: Charlie Jacklin & S. William Wallace

Why can’t you take little steps with me
Why can’t you take me anymore
Tell me was it something I said
Was it something I had done

If you can’t make em laugh, then you’d better make em cry
If you can’t break the chains, then you’ll never learn to fly
And if you don’t, make me strong
You push me to the ground

But would you kill me like I would
Would you kill me like I could
Would you kill me like I would
Would you kill me would you kill me?
(like I would)

Do you still want me
Like you once did
Your words they still haunt me
Like your touch, taste and kiss
And would you wait for me, my tenderness
You’ll always be the thought I can’t confess

But would you kill me like I would
Would you kill me like I could
Would you kill me, like I would
Would you kill me, would you kill me?

Oh I woke up to the madness
And everything was wrong
It brought out all the badness
When the money was all gone
There only seemed to be, one thing to be done (to be done)
Oh I woke up to the madness
And everything was wrong
It brought out all the sadness
When the money was all gone
There only seemed to be, one thing to be done (to be done)

But would you kill me, like I would
Would you kill me, like I could
Would you kill me, like I would
Would you kill me, would you kill me?
(Like I would)

You

Written By: S. William Wallace

Oh the words, you choose
Make no mistake
Are the simple clues
Of what could break
And the love that waits
Within the hands of fate
That we can create

I really want to speak with you
But I don’t know what to say
I really want to be with you
Every single day
Every day, Every Day
I thought that I once knew you
But I didn’t know what I knew
I just have to tell you
That I don’t know what to do
About you, about you
So take a chance and tell me
What you really want
Your words will not offend me
Please tell me what you thought
About what you want, about what you want
But please believe me
No matter what you do
What you mean to me
And what I mean to you
I swear it’s true, I swear it’s true

Cuz I just wanna love ya
Yes I do
Cuz I just wanna love ya
And I swear it’s true

And as a final word
That I really hope you heard
What will be will be will be
And you’ll always be a friend to me
A friend to me, a friend to me

Words

Written By: S. William Wallace

I’m trying to think of something
Something needs to be said
I’m trying to use words
That I know, that you’ve, never read

I’m trying to do the right thing
Do the best that I can
I’m trying to be a man
A man, a man, amongst men
As I live, as I am

And I know you, and you know me
And I’m pretty sure that you can see
These words were meant for me my friend
These words were meant for you to send
Ohhhh

I’m hoping and I’m dreaming,
And my thoughts can be deceiving
About what you’re reading
About what, you’re really dealing with

I’m scoping and I’m scheming
About all the reasons
I was believing
That all, I did, all had a reason,
To believe in

And I know you, and you know me
And I’m pretty sure that you can see
These words were meant for you my friend
These words were meant for me to send
Ohhhh

So gently turn the page
As it wipes away the stage
In this day that seemed so strange
And if I had the choice,
To express my inner voice

Oh this choice, I would make
Again and again
I’d do the same damned things, again
I’d say the same damned things, again

And I know you, and you know me
And I’m pretty sure that you can see
These words were meant for us my friend
These words were meant to be the end
Ohhhh

They were meant to be, the end.
