The inspiration to form THE REVERSALS was seeded while NATHANAEL HUBBARD was working as a sound
engineer for successful Australian artists including BERNARD FANNING (POWDERFINGER) and PETE MURRAY as well as notable producers including ANTHONY LYCENKO (PULP, ELVIS COSTELLO), BRENDAN ANTHONY (GEORGE, WHEATUS, INXS, JIMMY BARNES, MIDNIGHT OIL) and MARK OPITZ (AC/DC, HUNTERS
& COLLECTORS, KISS, AUSTRALIAN CRAWL).
During this time, with exposure to great Australian talent, Nathanael was motivated to step out from behind
the desk, pick up his instruments and focus on his true passions, songwriting and live performance.
Nathanael quickly engaged his long time music collaborator and drummer SCOTT MAYNARD (MR RASCAL) and bass and trumpet player SCOTT BIGNELL (THE CHEAP FAKES) creating the first incarnation of THE REVERSALS.
THE REVERSALS subsequently released their debut single (featuring guest guitarists 8 BALL AITKEN and
BRENDAN LEGGATT) which played on TRIPLE J and had an audience with some high profile Australians.
In 2012 the band expanded its line-up with two more exceptional musicians, MATTHEW GREEN (REMEMBER SEVEN) and PATRICK GUNDERSEN (ABI TUCKER).
2013 will see the release of the long awaited debut album from THE REVERSALS. Co-produced by Nathanael
and award winning engineer/producer JEFFERSON, the album is a lush mix of memorable songs that will take
you on a journey encountering relationships and reflections on modern society.
With the writing of the second album already under way, 2013 looks to be a promising one for this emerging
band with national and international appeal.
