Bio

The Revision was founded around 2005 by Jonathan Moreland(Jomo) and Pete Karstens with the creation of the song Midnight Crashing. Both Pete and Jomo being friends of over 10 years, and having played together in other music projects, such as the bands Decibel and Osiris, felt that the style of Midnight Crashing was indeed something unique, genuine, and just downright good. So after little discussion they decided to pursue this sound a little further, write new songs, venture into different combinations of styles and techniques. What started as nothing more than a little treat at parties here and there has turned into a sound that people are admiring and requesting all over east Texas.

Early in 2006 Pete and Jomo made the decision to work on getting some of their music onto a CD. After trying their luck with various producers and different studios, they finally made their decision to record their debut album, In The Midst, at The Vault studio in Celeste, Texas with John Kent as their producer. The highly anticipated record was finally released in October of 2007 which has allowed their music to move further and further away from home.

Alongside the release of their record, Jomo and Pete decided to recruit two more members to the group at the end of '07. Brandon Reed on the Bass, and Dan the Man on percussion. Now the "Band" has high hopes for 2008 including gigging like madmen, work on a new single or 2, and developing their sound as a 4-piece.

Many ask what sets The Revision apart from other music acts. The answer is simple, they have heart. What is heart? Heart is passion for the music created. Heart is something that can stir someone's very being. And most of all heart is what gives music meaning and purpose. Without heart and passion, music is just organized noise.
