The Revolters are an indie band hailing from Istanbul. Lead singer and guitarist Serhat Erman, synths and guitarist Berkan Tomay, bassist Ibrahim Kent and drummer Murat Sahin came together in summer of 2007 and wrote many songs.

Touted as "very promising and breath taking" by the many music magazine, The Revolters have etched out a solid reputation as the cream of the crop of Istanbul musical scene's most promising breaking buzz bands. Istanbul based indie rockers, still in their early 20s came together sharing influences from Television, Velvet Underground, Talking Heads, New York Dolls, The Clash and The Jam.

The Revolters debuted in Januray 2008 with their single, "Step by Step". This was then followed by their It's Gonna Hurt A Little EP later in 2008.
After adding a few more tracks online, the band received a lot of attention, helping secure some support slots for The Do and later for IAMX.

During the summer of 2008, they performed at a number of major Eastern European and regional festivals; including MTV Alternative Nation Festival Olympos, Masstival ( played before Stereophonics) and Zephyr Festival.

On 16 December 2009, It's Gonna Hurt A Little EP was recorded at The Way Studios - London, produced by Luke Buttery ( The Rakes, Cajun Dance Party ) and released by former Universal Turkey .

The EP was well received by the British music press with NME The album reached No.2 in the Turkey albums chart. The album was preceded by the release of single "Shining On" ,entering at No.6 and becoming their highest charting single to date. On Summer of 2010, they played with The Ting Tings, Wild Beasts, The Whitest Boy Alive at the Efes Pilsen One Love Festival.
