The Rhinestone Incident

The Rhinestone Incident is eclectic mix of country, rock, and alternative music. We like to consider our music as a melting pot of influence and style. It is ever changing but one thing is always certain, it is always fun. One night we might play a Dr. John tune or a Jerry Jeff Walker tune in ten minutes. You never know. This knowledge of many styles is one of our strong points that seperate us from other bands. Our major influences are The Stones, Petty, The Faces, Wilco, Willie, The Jayhawks and a hundred other Austin alt-country bands.
The Incident was formed in the fall of 2007, by combining two bands. While working out logistics and playing time, the band did not actually take off until sometime in the summer of 2008, where they performed as the opening act for Nashville recording artist and number 1 hit maker Kevin Sharp. From that The Incident went on to cut a demo and submit it to a independant film maker, who later used two of their songs on his movie, "Cosmic Legos." Since that time, the band has focused on writing and recording new material and has about 20 original tunes to their credit.
