"Quotes from audience members"

"Unique, Energetic and Highly Entertaining!"
JR & Sharon In The Morning Fun 107FM

Experienced your last show. Very impressed the soulful sound of your
music. Look forward to hearing you again. I am a local lead vocal in a classic rock band here in Connecticut. I was knocked off my feet. Lover of all unique sounds. Hats off to you guys.
Steve
Bright Nights Providence

We enjoyed your performance greatly: the enthusiasm, energy, great music and fabulous singing, was wonderful. That you all put in so much of yourself, regardless the small audience, the laryngitis, the cramped space, is commendable.
We will find out when and where your next public performances are and will try to be there (are you updating your website anytime soon?).
Our compliments to all of you.

Bright Nights Providence

Wow! I’m so glad that I got to see the performance….the White House makes for an awesome backdrop, doesn’t it? There were some great moments in the show – the female vocalist is really powerful, the musicians are very enthusiastic, talented and versatile, and Rick is amazing.
Lisa – Fan

You truly made the day -in fact, I can honestly say that not only are people talking about this year's event - but more specifically, they are talking about you and how fabulous your ensemble performed that day! What a treat to have you there with us - I only hope you enjoyed yourself as much as we enjoyed having you there!
Sammi Robertson – NAAR Southern New England Walk Chairperson

Rick - You are the reason that people remained at our event a bit later this year! Your group is certainly something to watch...what a stage full of talent! Thank you (again) for being with us! Sammi Robertson – NAAR Chairperson

Hi Rick,
All I can say is "WOW" about your performance yesterday. What a fantastic group! I have already listened to your CD in the car on the way home from the walk!
Sarah Conley – Committee Member NAAR

I saw you guys perform at the Relay for Life on Friday night. What a show!!
You are the best percussion act I've ever seen/heard! Watching you perform was truly impressive. I can tell you all put your minds, bodies and souls into your performance and the result is a sound that is unique, impressive and fun to listen to!
Thanks for a wonderful performance and cd!!
-Nicole Froment – Fan
I've seldom been as moved by a locally written and produced CD as I was by "Circle of Souls." I believe we have a review in Thursday's Sun Chronicle.

Rick - CONGRATS!!!!! You had such a great show and we all enjoyed it SO much. Like nothing we've ever seen before - my kids loved it too - Chelsea got the cd and Andy wanted the t-shirt (we'll share!) I loved the energy on stage and you all looked like you were having a blast!! Loved the brother/sister team and the guy who did the rap! But truly, everyone was awesome - congratulations on a very successful show. You are almost impossible to watch - your hands move so so fast. I was truly impressed and wish you success on this venture.
Andrea Brennan

I'm so impressed! Talk about following your dream. Show was unique and inspirational.
Lisa Cashman

Have you come down from the ultimate high of the weekend yet?
Still singing all the songs and playing it over and over in my head!
It really was their best show ever and I'm still blown away by it!
You all should be sooooooo extremely proud of all the hard work
you have put into this event over the last few months and longer!
Took years to get to this point!
Julie Erickson

I just wanted to let you and Rick know that was a great show on Friday night. We both enjoyed it and wish you luck with you new adventures with the Rhythm Room! In fact, Julie said that Saturday was an even better performance. So, great job! The both of you and the people involved put so much into this performance. I am sure that you are relieved of the stress from the preparation of putting on the shows.

"Groovy Rhythm - Review of Groove Infusion Album"

North Attleboro based group mixes genres in newest album.

Founded by North Attleboro drummer, percussionist and educator Rick Morin, The Rhythm Room is known for eye-popping stage shows and original music that covers the musical waterfront from pop to rock, blues to jazz and African rhythms to country.

Now the versatile troupe has taken on an even bigger challenge: topping their well-received first two albums. Judging by their newly-released CD "Groove Infusion," it appears they have succeeded.

Those who know The Rhythm Room from their crowd-pleasing stage shows at Showcase Live or their well-conceived original songs will be well-pleased with the group's latest offering from its high octane title tune to its sensitive love songs that make up a genre-bending trip around the musical universe.

Anyone who isn't familiar with the North Attleboro based group will be astounded by the musical capabilities of the band, blending Broadway-style glitz with the spontaneity of a rock concert.

Members of the Rhythm Room cast will be performing original music along with holiday tunes and classic covers Friday evening at the Lighthouse Bar at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I.

Groove Infusion was produced by Cumberland audio wizard and prolific guitarist George Dussault, who polishes the slick production to a high sheen. The record also features equally sharp songwriting that swings from the driving rock of "Groove Infusion" to a Louisiana drawl on the bayou-friendly "Cajun Lullaby" and a Nashville-esque "Hiccups and Heartaches" whose lyrics give a musical kiss-off to a fickle boyfriend.

There are also brassy blues instrumentals ("Jibberjam"), Blood Sweat and Tears-reminiscent rock hybrids ("She Devil") and ample demonstrations of the group's virtuosic percussion roots ("The Core," "Birchbark and Glowsticks").

The surprise is that all this genre-hopping in one package works. It does because for several reasons: tight, purposeful songwriting, adherence to carefully-crafted themes, high production values and the multi-instrumental and vocal capabilities of a talented cast.

Julie Marinucci and Tom Frederick highlight a cadre of talented vocalists while Morin, Dussault, Alan and Kait Clavette, Micah Weaver, Seth Antonitis and Tyler Matte as a group more than hold their own on everything from keyboards to African drumming and brass instruments to the didgeridoo.

If you're in the market for a last-minute stocking-stuffer, "Groove Infusion" will have your favorite music fans rocking in front of the Christmas tree. Copies can be ordered on the group's web site, www.rhythmroomlive.com - Rick Foster, The Sun Chronicle

"Rhythm Room gets Showcase Live Jumping"

Local ensemble draws 600 fans to Patriot Place venue

FOXBORO - Like the Gershwin tune, The Rhythm Room is all about rhythm. But as it turns out, the talented local ensemble conceived and headed by North Attleboro's Rick Morin is also about melody, harmony, choreography and a plethora of musical styles stretching from Africa to the American Southwest.

One might also add commercial success. The local touring act, which blends ele-ments of "Stomp" with original music and virtuoso solo performances to create a unique show, packed the tony Showcase Live venue at Patriot Place on Saturday night with about 600 appreciative fans.

Centered on front people Tom Frederick and Julie Marrinucci, The Rhythm Room opened with a snare groove from its new album "Circle of Souls" and transitioned to "Badlands," evoking a taste of the Ameri-can West. But there were also examples of rhythm and blues, African drumming, cajun, funk, calypso and rock as the en-semble tore through a catalog of musical styles.

Those unfamiliar with The Rhythm Room's eclectic groove might have needed a road map to keep up with all the transitions, but the band was in front of a local crowd who had no trouble following along. Marrinucci, her powerful voice comple-mented by Frederick's baritone solo and backing vocals, was clearly the melodic cen-terpiece of the group. But one of the many keys to the Rhythm Room's performance is the sheer multi-instrumental versatility of the group's 10 members that allows each to shine either individually or as part of an ensemble. During the show, the band continually recon-figured itself, on one occasion with some of its members putting down their percussion instruments and re-forming into a funky brass ensemble. At another point, sax player Chelsea Lembo doffed her horn to deliver a memorable blues vocal, and percussionist Micah Weaver drew a big audience response with a hip hop interlude.

Morin, a well-known drummer and music educator, played the genial host while flitting from drum kit to keyboard to bells to har-monica. During the set break, he even con-ducted a group of his younger students in an audience participation segment.

In short, The Rhythm Room's performance delivered something to engage almost every-one, at some level. As Gershwin would have said, who could ask for anything more?

"New Balance Letter of Recommendation"

June 30, 2010
Dear Lisa Kovach & The Rhythm Room,
I just wanted to say thank you to Rick, you and the rest of the The Rhythm Room for
such a wonderful experience. Our meeting went off without a hitch and was by far hands
down one of the best experiences we have had with this particular group. The Rhythm
Room was a huge part of our opener Monday night and everyone enjoyed it to the fullest.
Some of our staff even started a Congo line!
From the very first day of calling to book our event, you and your team has been right on.
You left no stone unturned, every detail has been accounted for, and everything has been
phenomenal. I want to apologize for our last minute change in start time that night; I also
wanted to acknowledge how accommodating The Rhythm Room was accepting this
change.
The Rhythm Room staff was always smiling and very upbeat! I enjoyed working with
you and am looking forward to working with you for future meetings.
Sincerely,

Bio

Our group is like no other. We are 8 professionals who integrate our wide range of influences (ranging from The Beatles, Pantara, Ella Fitzgerald, Blood, Sweat, and Tears, Blink 182, Peter, Paul, and Mary, Beach Boys, to Tower of Power) into a one of a kind sound that has been nominated for a Grammy (2012).

Many of the members of the group began as Rick Morin's music students. Through years of practice and hard work, we have earned the opportunity to perform in a variety of venues, ranging from Showcase Live to The Rhode Show. This past year, we were chosen as finalists for the 95.5WBRU Rock Hunt!

We go beyond a stellar show to include audience members of all ages! We provide a strong, energetic opening for national acts and school events alike. With a strong background in education and therapy, we interweave our passion for music with our passion for teamwork skills for both adults and students.

No matter what your event, our performance and programs will create a night you and your guests will never forget.
