The Richard Ronk Band is a newly formed hard rock band from Smyrna, Georgia, which is located 12 miles northwest from the center of downtown Atlanta.
Their debut release "Submitted For Your Approval" (a line taken from Rod Serling on the 60's show "Twilight Zone") features Richard Ronk, who serves as drummer, singer, songwriter, and album producer. Next featured muscian is Rick Daum and his amazingly wicked-fast fingers on guitar. Last but not least is Jay Daum (Rick's brother) pounding out the ever-so-solid bass. Though having it's ifluences, the group plays it's own unique brand of rock at speeds ranging from medium fast to very fast. The overall sound comes from a mixture of metal, blues, punk, and Southern rock, though not sounding particularly like any one style. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jan Nerud (he recorded Lil'John & The East Side Boys first 3 albums) at his Sound Lab studio in Smyrna Georgia.(770-803-0014)
Pictures were taken at the gas station within a 3 block radius of the recording studio and Richards house, where all the songs were written. The songs are intended first of all, to ROCK THE LISTENER, while saying something intelligent and relevant with a twist of irony and humor. This music is perfect in the car on dates and such, and is guaranteed to rock your socks off, and possibly a few other items of clothing.
