Songs For the New Depression -
California Dreamin' -

A Ricky Lewis band performance is an exciting, fun-filled ride through the greatest rock and blues hits of all time. With an extensive song list, Ricky, Chris, and Bernie read the audience like a book - and rock the house the way the house should be rocked..

As he carries both rhythm and lead duties (at the same time!), Lewis' guitar wails, wanders, and wallops us over the head with the force of a virtual symphony of instruments. Bassist Farmer holds down the bottom end of this wall of sound with his characteristic calm, cool, and collected efficiency, while drummer Bernie "The Rock" Rubio is the glue behind the two gentlemen in the front. What, you say, only a three piece? How good could they be? After viewing and listening to their video demo, no one need ask those questions twice..

The Ricky Lewis band is:

Ricky Lewis' (guitar/vocals) roots are from the South, and he is one of the top call LA session players and vocalists for classic rock or blues projects. When you find an artist that embraces and embodies the genuineness of Eric Clapton with the harmonies and vocals of Dave Mason, the performance of Bruce Springsteen and puts the same depth of storytelling in his performances as Little Feat and The Band, you have an artist who isnt following the latest trend. Ricky Lewis incorporates and expands upon all of these influences in his own R&B Rock style. Ricky Lewis is one of the few artists that still remembers that music can be a source of inspiration and motivation as well as entertainment.

Chris Farmer (bass/vocals), originally hails from the Motown city of Detroit, Michigan. Since relocating to Los Angeles, his musical career has been rich with big name acts. Farmer was the bass player and vocalist for the legendary Beach Boys from 1995 - 2007, and was their musical director and vocal arranger since 1999. Other gigs included music supervisor and bassist for the "Legends of Doo-Wop" and "Cavalcade of Stars" shows, playing behind such greats as Sam Moore of Sam and Dave, David Ruffin of the Temptations, The Drifters, The Diamonds, Al Wilson, Brenton Wood, The Flamingos, and many others of 50's and 60's era. In between Ricky Lewis band performances, Chris performs with Timothy B. Schmit of the Supergroup the Eagles in support of Timothy's latest CD "Expando."

Bernie Rubio (drums/vocals) is a veteran player from the California Coast whose true love, other than surfing and boating, is performing live with his mates and feeling the energy from the audience, as well as the band.
