Bio

The Ric Toole Band
Born in Montgomery Alabama, raised in Jacksonville Florida the birthplace of Southern Rock, Ric Toole is a true Southern Rocker. Coming from a musical family, he began playing guitar at age 4 and performed in bands at age 10.
Along the way he’s played in bands such as “Jacksonville” with Jimmy Van Zant and “Ahab” with former members of Atlantic recording artists “The Hatters”. Ric has been mentored by legendary Southern Rock guitar greats; the late Allen Collins (of “Lynyrd Skynyrd” fame) and the late Hughie Thomasson (of “The Outlaws” and “Lynyrd Skynyrd” fame).
In 2005 Hughie Thomasson produced the “Ric Toole Bands” (unreleased) “From the Edge” CD. In 2006 Hughie invited Ric to play with “The Outlaws” as their 3rd guitarist for their summer tour. During this time drummer Jimmy Wieder and steel guitarist Jimmy Kidd were invited to work with Ric on “The Ric Toole Band”. Vocalist Chris Keating and Bassist/vocalist Gary Hahn both joined the band in 2009 helping to round out the vocal range needed to achieve the signature harmonies in the “Ric Toole Band”. They perform Southern Rock and Classic Rock music ranging from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Led Zepplin or you could say from Hank Williams to Black Sabbath! You never know… they are constantly working on new music as well as originals. You never see the same show twice! They have a wide range of vocal styles from the Southern Rock growl of Ric, to the crispy clean voice of Gary Hahn, to the wide range raspy rock and roll voice of Chris Keating. This enables the band to do just about anything. Their musical expertise grasps the nuances of the music in keeping with the true spirit of the artists they cover. THEY’LL KICK YOUR ASS!
