Bio

The Right Ones is the collaboration of a boy and a girl, two young and experienced musicians eager to make beautiful, authentic and simple music. Jono + Geneva have a love for writing music together and it seemed only natural that they would become a duo. After writing a number of songs together for Geneva's solo project, the decision to become The Right Ones was made. With the combination of Genevas angel-like voice and Jonos sweetly rough tone they've created a magical sound supported with stripped back musical arrangements. "It's delicate, it's raw, it's thoughtful" says Geneva of their new found folk-like sound. The Right Ones have plans to play throughout New Zealand's North Island cafes in the summer-time, with the goal to gain even more experience and hone their craft. Make sure you are on the look out for a show near you.

About the Solo Careers:
One half of The Right Ones is singer-songwriter Geneva, she released her first solo EP 'Everyone' in 2009, with singles 'Everyone' and 'Like You' gaining high-rotation play on local Christian station, Life FM. Her late-2010 single release 'Scream' was featured on The Edge FM's 'The Slab' and was performed live on TV1's The Good Morning Show. She has played in venues throughout Auckland and afar, accompanying Tear Funds North Island Tour in 2010, supporting and also singing for Stan Walker at Skyfawkes 2010. With so many achievements at such a young age, there is bright future ahead for this young lady.

The other half of The Right Ones is drummer-musician-man Jonathan Wilson. Known not just for his incredible drumming skills but also his vibrant personality, he has backed the likes of Nathan King (now Paper Planes), Stan Walker, Martin Smith, Nathan Haines, Lydia Cole, Seth Haapu, Jesse Sheehan & The Family of Actors, Geneva and the list goes on. He completed his Honors in Jazz Music in 2010 and has since been working as a full time musician. Being in such hot demand this young man has a very promising future ahead.
