"Local band plays old school sounds"

The rains gave way for the Strawberry Jam Music festival in the Rivermarket Amphitheater to a crowd of over 3,500 excited music fans Sat. night. Local group The Pumphouse Band opened for acts Survivor and Kansas. The local group is an original/cover rock act hailing from Little Rock and has been in the local music scene here since 1998, and have been playing packed venues of pleased crowds since. If you get a chance to see these guys take it. The show was promoted by local producers and businesses, all proceeds went to local charities. - Nite Life, Little Rock, Ar.

The Riprocks has a compilation of originals tentatively called "If it ain't ol school, it ain't right" but none have been released as of yet.

The Riprocks started back in the 80's as an original rock project influenced by the big hair movement and southern rock and roll. The name of the band then, (Pumphouse Band) came from the old practice room, a pumphouse in the woods behind the drummers' house (we froze our butts off out there!). Over the years alot has happened, but the core members, Flash and Killer Kell, continue to write about their adventures in life with an old school flavor and a new school twist. The band looks forward to promoting and playing much in 2010, and hopes to release their debut album as well this coming year.
