The Rising Tide Biography
The Rising Tide is a Blues Hard Rock four piece group based out of Hamilton Ontario that began in the fall of 2010.
Singer/Songwriter Jay Macedo formed the band in the prime of his
Career after being a part of projects that gave him the chance to open for such acts as The Black Crowes, work in many studios across Ontario
including EMac studios (London, Ont) Catharine North Studios (Hamilton, Ont) as well as to work with many fine Artists and musicians over the years.
The Rising Tide members all met through a music community in Grimsby Ontario. Jay had recently moved there and found amazing talent with heart.
Members include Pat Kelly on Drums, Dave Joshua Phillips Jones on bass and young blues virtuouso guitar player Riley Himmrich. The Band began to rehearse the material and set out to play as many shows as possible. Since last Fall the Rising Tide have played over 50 shows, performed at many festivals and are gearing up to record the next record. Their music has been played on College and university radio stations and has made rave reviews.
The group creates an unstoppable wall of musical energy that will grab hold of you and drag you out to a churning sea of thunderous rhythms, barreling riffs and hooks you'll wish you could fish with.
