Bio
Formed in Edmond, OK, in late 2005, The Rivers is an Irish-American Folk-Punk band. Founded by Nate Williams (Rhythm Guitar, Lead Vocals), Jack Smith (then Drummer, now lead Guitarist/Lead Vocals), John Slawson (Bass) and Omid Nowrouzi (Mandolin). They have since incorporated Jian Azimi (Fiddle) and Kenny Taylor (Drums) into the band to create a sound that is truly unique in the Oklahoma music scene. They have played shows all over Oklahoma City, have appeared in Manhattan, KS, and have been making a name for themselves online, with fans from all over the world. They hope to do more shows around Oklahoma and the Midwest as well as record, all while balancing out busy college and work schedules.
