"Intense Worship Service Press Release"

“Roar of Atlanta brings praise and worship to another level. Their ability to lead God’s people into His presence leaves those that have experienced the intensity of the anointing on their lives, captive by the glory of God. They are obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit and their ministry sets the atmosphere for a powerful move of God. Their “roar” of worship makes ready the saints for an unforgettable encounter with the Lord.” - Pastor Chrystel N. Kazadi of Joels Army

"Winterfest 2010" - Winterfest COG

The ROAR is a high energy, out-of-the-box band made up of different ages, races, genders and denominations that carries a diverse sound. Each member has a unique testimony that they have embraced to show God’s mercy on all of us. Their purpose is to bring freedom and to restore integrity back into this generation. The ROAR doesn't have a particular sound and when you listen to their music you will find a little bit of every genre mixed in with a radical message. Their sound is cross-cultural and hits the youth of today, as well as ministering to the older generation at the same time. They have had such opportunities this past year to appear on MTV doing one of their original songs, "Cry Out" and the Atlanta 57 LIVE TV Show. The Roar has have opened up for Martha Munizzi, Marvin Sapp and The Crabb Family and have led worship for conferences for Prophet Chuck Pierce, Bishop Tony Miller, Bishop Bill Hamon, Hank Kunnemann, David Herzog, Charisma Magazine and many others. Anthony Shepherd, is not only the leader of The Roar, but he also writes and produces the words and music for the group. He believes that as high as you go in praise you need to go even deeper into worship.

Anthony Shepherd - Worship Leader Bio

Anthony Shepherd is a worship leader whose passion is to worship God and to lead others into the throne room of Heaven. Growing up as a pastor’s son, worship and music has always been a big part of Anthony’s life. Learning to play the drums at 3 years old, he could always be found playing an instrument, seated at the soundboard, or leading worship.

Anthony served as the worship pastor at Potters House Church in Englewood, Ohio and then went on to serve under his father, Pastor Rick Shepherd at Heart of Worship in Troy, Ohio. After traveling the east coast as worship leaders and working closely with Bishop Ron Scott and Pastor Ray Phillips, God led Anthony and his wife, Brittany into full-time ministry at Life Center Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia in 2006, where they serve as the worship leaders under Dr. Buddy Crum and Mary Crum.

In 2007 he created the group “Roar of Atlanta.” It is made up of worship leaders and musicians from different areas of Atlanta, Georgia. Anthony is a worshipper/psalmist, songwriter, recording artist and producer who has written over 30 songs. He is determined to raise up a generation that will live a Godly lifestyle and have a passion for the Lord.
