Bio
Robert's first band, Rombis, was a true collaboration with Robert on lead vocals and bass. Playing their original songs over much of the U.S. mid-atlantic, Rombis became known for their high energy performances and dance/trance rhythms.
In 2006, he teamed up with guitarist Quentin Jones and drummer Tommy Leanza, playing Roots Rock 'n Roll everywhere from the Rodeo Bar in NYC, to the Black Cat in Washington D.C.; and sharing the stage with iconic performers such as Lee Rocker of The Stray Cats, Tommy Conwell, Robert Gordon, and Charlie Gracie.
Robert's newest release, "Out 'n Out", is a six song EP that ventures through all the genres that have influenced his writing. From the pop/rock sound of "Nobody Come/ Nobody There", to the psychedelic romp of "Seethe" and "Five Day M&O Blues", it is apparent Robert has wrenched a new sound from the clutches of the old. One cover song made the cut, The Rolling Stones' "No Expectations" is a nod to one of his major influences. Others include John Lee Hooker, The Police, Beck, and Miles Davis.
Robert is joined by drummer Tommy Leanza and guitarist Rich Campbell, on a quest to create a musical high that transcends the particular, the feeling of freedom that pervades the suspension of the moment and the release of your inhibitions. In other words, Rock 'n Roll.
