…Their new disc, My Baby Loves That Stuff, includes just one cover (Fat’s Domino’s “All By Myself”) among a set of smart self-penned songs. Girke’s vocals are better than credible, the recording is clean, and arrangements are well-thought-out.

This is as radio-ready as any submission we've had… as good as any that you're likely to hear over the airwaves in this genre… certainly deserves a larger audience.

…plenty of serious blues… with Roger on soulful vocals. “Daddy” is a heartfelt tribute to departed parent contained in a wee hours, south side Chicago slow blues, slow burn musical setting…an accomplished set.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again because it's worth repeating: the guys from the Del-Mar-Va-Pa region are monsters of their craft. Roy Buchanon, Delbert McClinton, Danny Gatton, Billy Price, and the Nighthawks have called this place their home. The Roger Girke Band is a great example of the kind of musicians that come from this area. Roger Girke fronts his band with solid vocals, and tasty guitar. These guys ROCK! Don't miss your chance to see The Roger Girke Band. These guys pump out a hearty dose of house-rockin blues.

Band leader, vocalist, and guitarist Roger Girke is a 34 year veteran of the east coast blues scene. His soulful vocals and tight guitar combine for a singular style reminscent of some, but totally free of imitation. The band's chemistry is driven by the powerful Glenn Bickel on keyboards, the super-funky Pat B on bass, the grooves from Dave "the metronome" Rainey on drums and one of the industries most
