Bio

Having a vast variety of musical tastes and backgrounds ranging from alternative rock, rockabilly, folk, pop, blues and soul The Roseberys intertwine these genres to create their unique upbeat sound. Based in Brisbane this four (sometimes five) piece band formed two years ago and has held strong to the notion of collaborative song writing and engaging performance.

With music influenced by bands/artists such as Radiohead, the Beatles, Neil Young, the Cure, the Stone Roses, the Go-Betweens and the Gun Club the band has an evolving folk/rock, R n B style. Vocal harmonies feature strongly in their music and each of the group fronts up to the microphone on occasion. If we must have a genre it might be “alternative classic rock”

The band have come together from former bands including Root me Boot, the Rippled Souls, My Three Sons, Cry Conflict and the USBs and are now forging ahead with their new live act. They recently took out the ABC’s Exhumed final in Brisbane and have played a range of other local venues.

The Roseberys are made up of John Esdaile (bass, vocals), Patrick Gibbs (guitar, vocals), Ben Mullen (lead guitar, vocals) and Peter Young (drums), with occasional guest appearances from Stu Robinson on harmonica and our original drummer, Mal Valmadre on percussion.
