Colin received a guitar for his 21st birthday and began learning basic chords and then a few songs. Before long his own songs began pouring out of him at a rapid pace. After a 100 or so songs had been penned in a year Colin began piecing a band together with close musician friends and The Roseline was born. They whittled the list down to 11 gems and made their first record titled "A Wall Behind It". It received international critical acclaim much to the young band's surprise. The Belgian website Rootstime placed it in their top 20 records of 2006 and the French website Lesinrocks placed it in their top ten! Americana-UK gave it a very favorable review, the local press ate it up and the blogs were biting...but The Roseline were not satisfied because there was more work to be done and more songs to be written and more gigs to play. And so they did. After a couple lineup changes in '07, The Roseline solidified and whittled another heap of material down to the 12 tracks that appear on their newest album "Lust for Luster". It has already accumulated a number of great reviews and the band has recently been nominated for a Pitch Music Award as the best Country/Bluegrass band in Kansas City! The band has been playing all over the midwest and a fall tour is in the works. Colin already has another record's worth of material that will be recorded in August. So much to do, so little time!
