Bio
OK, NOW THE STORY SO FAR...
My name is Martino Vergnano, and I’m a musician from the North-West of Italy.
In July 2006 I founded THE ROSENKRANZ with a group of friends.
I’m a songwriter/musician/part-time alcoholic/multi-instrumentalist.
I've lived in Ireland - that’s when I started to write
songs in English.
So-far I’ve been:
• a musician
• a hard-worker
• a busker
• absolutely bone-idle
• a dish-washer
• a writer of poems & novels
• incredibly lazy
• unemployed
• a professional drinker ………
but I never gave up my songwriting.
I recorded my first cd in my bedroom.. I played all the
instruments… It is called : ‘Autumn in a junk yard’ (2006) and it contains 12 songs, all written by myself.
The Rosenkranz recorded their first EP in March 2007.
It's called "We don't care".
In april 2007 we toured Northern Ireland and started playing around Italy.
In November 2007 we won a national competiton organized by MySpace with the local indie labels association (MEI). That brought us a reasonable popularity to keep gigging around the country.
In April 2008 we signed a licensing deal for Northern Ireland with Audioill, a label from Belfast: www.audioill.com
We are currently in the process of recording new songs. In the summer we'll play Northern Ireland, Holland and Germany, then head to the Popkomm.
That's it for the time being !
