Bio

Torontonians The Roughnotes can be found making new friends and fans alike performing at least once a week at bars, pubs, private parties and weddings throughout Ontario.

The Roughnotes mix classic rock n' roll with blues, country and rockabilly to produce one original sound. To compliment their set, live performances often include a unique twist on covers by Elvis, The Rolling Stones and The Misfits, among others. The result is a classic yet memorable toe tapping sound that will even have those with a fear of the dance floor wanting to get on their feet.

Lead Vocalist and Guitarist Colin Brady's writing and performance contain a reminiscent spirit of The Beatles mixed with down home country, beautifully complimented by Berklee trained jazz Drummer Matt Wills, and Bassist/audiophile Paul Pitre. The Roughnotes self-titled debut album is a testament that classic sounds can take on a new spin when mixed with the right influences. From start to finish both live and recorded The Roughnotes will make you want to dance, swoon over new love and sing along with classic covers.

Previous gigs and venues include: The Cadillac Lounge, Scotiabank Giller Light Bash 2011, Rose & Crown, The Horseshoe, Cameron House, among many others.
