Bio

The Royal Tragedy is quickly on its way to success. Daniel, The Bassist, originally joined as a 2nd guitarist, but switched to bass when The former bassist Robby Rosales left to join the band, Masonite. Since then The Royal Tragedy has played many shows in the DFW starting with the first show in February 2009. The Bands second show was The Battle of the bands presented by Gorilla music at the curtain club in deep ellum, a month later. They won the first round of the battle. They have since played the Door, The Liquid lounge and Renos Chop shop in Deep Ellum. However they local favorites and frequenters of Andys Bar and The Boiler Room in the bands hometown, Denton, TX. Usually Drawing a crowd of around 50+ people. The Live shows are only growing stronger as the bands name is getting more wide spread by word of mouth and various promoting. The Royal Tragedys sound is highly influenced by the bands Chevelle, Deftones, Seether, and Three days Grace. The Band does not claim to be metal, but is often mistaken for that genre. Hoping to achieve a Record deal as soon as possible, they have recorded demos with Trebuchet guitarist, Dustin Fleming, at his Studio, Clocktower Studios, in Denton, And with Phoenix Drive Audio in Dallas, Owned by a former member of Headshot symphony, Chris Linville also another local Favorite. The bands demo is given out free at The Royal Tragedy Shows and at other events. It is encouraged to be copied and given to friends, relatives, or any rock music fan. The Demo includes 3 tracks. “Lillypad”, “Happy”, and an Acoustic version of “Abortion” . “Lillypad” was mastered by Crystal Clear sound based in California.
