In 2007 The Ruckus was selected to be a part of Green Street Records, the only student run record label in the Big Ten. We were extraordinarily lucky to work at Pogo Studios in Champaign with Mark Rubel, who produced our track, "Shoot It!" which was featured on the GSR compilation FREE FOR ALL.

Whether it's funk, rock, soul, or reggae, The Ruckus has all the sounds to make everyone move their feet. 2008 was a big year for the five piece Champaign band. They were delighted to open for Urbana's Zmick at their weekly Monday Night Rage twice, along with playing a slew of benefit shows for such charitable causes as the Champaign Co. Humane Society and Sudanese refugees. The band has also played two fairly packed shows at The Iron Post bar & grille in Urbana.
