The Rudiments formed through the autumn months of 2008, with winter fast approaching the band began jamming session in the warmth of there mates loft. Taking their inspiration from roots, folk, they began to take it back to basics as the name suggests.
Whilst following in the traditions of great British song writing ‘The Rudiments have adopted a back to basics approach to their music. Focusing on melody and harmony the band have shunned the over produced, disposable musicians flooding the market and opted for nostalgic roots level approach. The sound is acoustic led with the intention to capture the rawer essence of music whilst still adhering to the time tested principles of song writing.
