More to Life

Written By: Dan Griffin, Sean Griffin

There’s more to life than just a dream
there’s more to life than just caffeine
or coffee houses women on the street.
There’s more to life then failed romance
or taking off your underpants
and angry father’s chasing after me.

So we’ll Drink Drink, Drink till we can’t drink no more
and in the morning we’ll come stumbling home
and we’ll fight and kick and love and bite
then we’ll drink another pint
and see you there and church on Sunday morn.

And so we’ll work from nine to five
and never save a single dime
and watch as life just passes us by
and bitch about our wives and jobs
till ye can take more ye slobs
so close your eyes and wake up on the floor.

So we’ll Drink, Drink, Drink till we can’t Drink no more
and in the morning we’ll come stumbling home
and we’ll fight and kick and love and bite
then we’ll drink another pint
and see you there and church on Sunday morn.

No greater love then I can find
then in the bottom of my pint
so raise your glasses let us love
we’ll drink together all as one
and when we find that we are done
we’ll wash away our sorrows till they’re gone.

And we’ll Drink Drink, Drink till we can’t Drink no more
and in the morning we’ll come stumbling home
and we’ll fight and kick and love and bite
then we’ll drink another pint
and see you there and church on Sunday morn.

and see you there and church on Sunday morn
and see you there and church on Sunday morn
and see you there and church on Sunday morn

Fishy

Written By: Sean Griffin

I met a man
Who married a fish
Out of loneliness
She never nagged
Not much conversation
She never wanted anything to wear
She didn’t cook
Never put out
But it sounded just like his other friends
Sure people talked
He didn’t care
‘cause a man who knows what he wants
is a happy man
because you can’t teach a dog how to sing
you can’t make a whore wear a ring
you can’t change everything
so what’s the world to do
go around feelin’ blue
I’d paint this town
I’d paint this town
I’d paint this town
Lord if I wanted to.

It’s like flying a kite in a lightning storm
To marry a pretty girl
It’s like diggin’ in the mud all day
To maybe find a pearl
Is it worth picking up your broken heart
Maybe it’s still better on the floor
And I find climbing in your window
It takes me further than knockin’ at your door
because you can’t teach a dog how to sing
You can’t make a whore wear a ring
You can’t change everything
What’s the world to do
go around feelin’ blue?
I’d paint this town
I’d paint this town
I’d paint this town
Lord if I wanted to
Fishy
Fishy
because you can’t teach a dog how to sing
You can’t make a whore wear a ring
You can’t make a liar take a vow
So what’s the world to do
go around feelin’ blue?
I’d paint this town
I’d paint this town
I’d paint this town
Lord, if I wanted to

Never Will Marry

Written By: Traditional, arranged by Sean Griffin

I never will marry I’ll take me no wife
I intend to stay single for the rest of my life
I never will marry I’ll take me no wife
I intend to stay single for the rest of my life.

One day as I rambled down by the seashore
the wind it did whistle and the water did roar.
I heard a young maiden make a pitiful cry
she sounded so lonely by the waters near by.

I never will marry I’ll take me no wife
I intend to stay single for the rest of my life
I never will marry I’ll take me no wife
I intend to stay single for the rest of my life.

My loves gone she’ left me she’s the one I adore
I never will see her no never no more.
She plunged her fair body in the water’s so deep
she closed her pretty eyes in the waters to sleep
the shells in the ocean will be her death bed
the fish in the water will swim o’er her head.

I never will marry I’ll take me no wife
I intend to stay single for the rest of my life
I never will marry I’ll take me no wife
I intend to stay single for the rest of my life.

I never will marry I’ll take me no wife
I intend to stay single for the rest of my life
I never will marry I’ll take me no wife
I intend to stay single for the rest of my life.
