Biography

The Rumblebugs:
About me:
I am an Artist, Musicain, Singer/Songwriter, Cartoonist, that works as a railroad conductor to pay the bills. In the 1990's I even managed to get a masters in Social Work from Kansas University. I hope to use my social work degree, possibly, when I retire from the railroad in a few years. I would probably do counseling in the drug and alcohol field. I am presently working on a set of graphic novels that I have illustrated with cartoons and drawings. That, along with, writing, recording, and singing my original songs keeps me pretty busy. I played in a bar band off and on from 1970 to 1992. Since then I have played in parades, outside coffee shops, and at an occasional party. I have a website at http://www.jimmyleeart.com/home where my art and music are displayed. However, on that site are abstract and realism drawings/paintings, and some contain nudes in the composition. So please observe the age limit restrictions and do not go there if nude drawings and paintinings offend you. Not all the art contains nude images but I don't want anyone to be unknowingly surprised. This Myspace thing is something useful for getting my art and music out to others. I also hope to network with others and maybe make some friends along the way. I am really interested the spirituality of my life and others. The inspiration for my art and music spring from my spirituality, and from the sharing of others stories and spirituality.
Who I'd like to meet:
I'd like to meet other artist, cartoonist, singer/songwriters. Also, I would like to meet people that are interested in spirituality and recovery from drugs or alcohol. Since I am writing my grapic novels, I suppose I would like to meet other writers and poets. But more importantly, I would like to meet anyone with an interesting story to tell. Peoples' life stories can be an inspiration to hear and share. Still, I am open to meeting about anyone that is sincere and fairly honest.

JOHN LENNON'S sONG, by jAMES M. LEE
COPYRIGHT 1999 by JIM LEE

1. LAST NIGHT, WHILE I WAS DREAMING,
ABOUT DRIVIN' IN MY CAR.
I HEARD JOHN LENNON SINGING,
A GREEN MIST FROM THE RADIO. (Alternate version for chorus)
HE SUNG PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDIN'. He sung peace, love, imagination.
HE SUNG PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDIN'. He sung peace, can you imagine
ALL ABOUT PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDIN'. All about peace, love, imagination
WE NEED PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDIN'. We need peace, love and understandin'
AH,THEN I HEARD JOHN SAY,
THAT LOVE'S THE ONLY WAY,
FOR PEACE TO SAGWAY,
AND END THIS DARKNESS SOMEDAY.

2. IN MY DREAM, THE MIST WAS FLOATIN',
FROM THE DIALS ON THE RADIO.
IN THE MIST, I SAW JOHN A DANCIN',
HE TWIRLED GREEN, YELLOW, RED AND GOLD.
THEN I HEARD A THOUSAND GUITARS PLAY,
AS HE DANCED ACROSS MY CHEVROLET,
AND HE DANCED ACROSS THE MILKY WAY,
THEN HE DANCED A RAINBOW COSMIC RAY.
THEN I HEARD JOHN SAY,
THAT LOVE'S THE ONLY WAY,
FOR PEACE TO SAGWAY,
AND CONQUEROR DARKNESS SOMEDAY.

(CHORUS) AND THEN I HEARD JOHN PLAY. (Alternate version for ending chorus
HE SUNG PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDIN'. He sung peace, love can you imagine?
HE SUNG PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDIN'. He sung peace, love can you imagine?
ALL ABOUT PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDIN'. All about peace, love, won't you imagine?
HE SUNG PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDIN'. He sung peace, love, oh please imagine.
TALKIN''BOUT PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDIN'. Talkin' 'bout peace, love, can you imagine?
ALL ABOUT PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDIN'. All about peace, love won't you imagine?
HE SUNG PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDIN'. He sung peace, love oh please imagine.
ALL ABOUT PEACE, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDIN'. All about peace, love, will you imagine?

Set List

When I played in a bar band from 1970 to 1992 I used the standard bar band--dive bar song list. It is almost embarassing to list the songs. Nowadays I tend to do my own songs. I play typical 45 minute sets as do most musicains if I am playing a "gig". 15 minute breaks are normal with 3 to 4 hour long gigs.
