The Rusty Brothers are a four piece band out of Dallas, TX. In almost three years
together, they have developed a sound that is as Texas country as Cory Morrow and Jason
Boland, as progressive country as Pat Green, and as southern rock as Cross Canadian
Ragweed and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The Rusty Brothers have grown quite a fan base over the
past couple years throughout Texas and Oklahoma and have extended their listening base
as far as Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Opening for acts such as Pat Green, Cory Morrow,
Stoney Larue, Macon Greyson, Django Walker, Aaron Watson, and various others, they have been asked back to numerous
private events, clubs, and fundraisers. The Rusty Brothers are in the process of recording
their second independent cd in Austin, TX. Steve Becker is producing, and musicians from
George Strait's Ace in the Hole band have contributed. The band is Steven McWilliams
on the lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Daniel McWilliams on backup vocals and lead
guitar, Andrew McWilliams on bass, and James Guckenheimer on drums. A Rusty
Brothers show is a family affair and a rockin’ good time.

The Rusty Brothers are:

Steven McWilliams - Steven, 20, began writing and playing country music when he was a young teenager. He played with a few bands in high school before the beginning of the Rusty Brothers. He goes to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX where he attempts to balance school and music. His role in the band is lead vocals and rhythm guitar.

Daniel McWilliams - Daniel, 23, plays guitar and
writes most of the songs for the Rusty Brothers.
Learning to play the guitar during high school, he
started listening to the growing Texas country music scene and became interested in writing songs. After graduating high school in 2000, he spent a summer in Austin, where his songwriting career began. He spent 3 years going to school at Texas Tech and currently lives in Dallas where he works and plays music with the Rusty Brothers.

Andrew McWilliams - Andrew is the newest
addition to the Rusty Brothers. He is the youngest of the three brothers in the band, and plays the bass. He might not get all of the ladies but he sure knows how to have a good time. He enjoys long walks on the beach, emotional sunsets, and some even say he’s too in touch with his feelings (for the ladies). While his other schoolmates are asleep dreaming of physics tests they have the next day, Andrew can be found a hundred miles away from his bed, playing bass and doing what he loves most: entertaining.

James Guckenheimer - The sixth member of the
Jackson 5, James Guckenheimer, was adopted into the Rusty Brothers family in the spring of 2003 after
graduating from Jesuit. Having formerly played with
Steven McWilliams for a number of years in various
bands such as the Koozies, James had no problem
fitting in. James is 19 years old and has been playing drums since the age of 13. Because of his experience in Rock, R&B, Funk and Jazz, James brings a new dimension to the sound of the Rusty Brothers.
