In the winter of 2001, PK-180 released a self titled demo album. The record contained a number of songs, many of which have been put to rest. The album is still for sale however, since it contains music not unlike that of the current rock trend setters.

The Ruum started off in 1998 as a run of the mill metal/rock/punk cover band called pk-180. Over the past few years, as the band members grew older and more aware of the world, so followed their music. In late 2002, pk-180 decided to take a bit of a break from shows to write new material and give the band some time to find what it is that they have been trying to do; musically, emotionally, and spiritually. Late in the summer of 2003 the band re-emerged with a better understanding of themselves and what it was that they wanted to do. And with that, the name pk-180 no longer fit the definition, so The Ruum was born.
