Bio

Thayer, Missouri seems along way from the Rock and Roll mecca's of L.A., Detroit and New York. This small town's gritty, working class railroad roots have given popular culture many country artists, Actors and Novelists, but only now can they add potential rock and roll stars to the roster. Thayer's new claim to fame is The Ryan Tyler band.

The Ryan Tyler band consists of two Brothers who have had a love for music all their lives, but knew at an early age, they were destined to write, play and perform for people.

Ryan, age 16, plays lead guitar, among other instruments, and sings harmony with Tyler. Ryan is a self taught musician since the age of 11 years old. His influences include Eric Clapton, John Mayer, and harder rock players like Eddie Van Halen. Ryan is a true child prodigy on guitar, and is the basis for this groups grit and grind.

Tyler, age 14, the youngest of the two, is also a self taught musician. Tyler is the lead vocalist, percussionist and plays, sings and reads music. As a lyricist, Tyler writes with a passion that is far beyond his years.

This has caught the fascination of many people, including producer, Doug Deforest. Deforest is best known for his productions involving many artists, including Cynthia Johnson (Funky Town), Altantic Starr, Eddie Raven, Jonathan Edwards (Sunshine) and many many more. Having turned his attention to the pop end of the spectrum this year, he is currently working with new artist Jaxon in securing a deal, and was so taken by the Ryan Tyler band that he put them up for his next project.

Deforest is currently producing a four song demo on The Ryan Tyler band with sights on a major label deal. "Once anyone hears what these boys are capable of, they are immediately hooked on this talented duo", says Deforest.

Ryan and Tyler write music that is far more than just "Kid Band" songs. Their songs touch on many styles, Rock, Country, Blues and Funk. Their new CD also features members of the legendary Cuttin' Crew, including musicians such as, Deforest,Timmy Crouch, Robby Springfield, and George Strait's drummer, Michael Kennedy. This talented crew have been involved in numerous hits thru many genres in the last few years.

Ryan and Tyler formed their first band, called Overbearing in the fall of 2007. They have performed many shows throughout the past year and gained needed experience in the live stage setting. Their shows are very high energy with many faces in the crowd screaming and dancing to their original music.

Watch closely as these Southern Missouri mavericks climb toward stardom. The Ryan Tyler band is truely the music of tomorrow.
