A New Day: 2003

Feeling a bit camera shy

The Sacred Groove is a concert venue band comprised of bassist Duane Murray, keyboardist Steve Collins, percussionist Gerald Jones, and lead guitarist Jay Hall.
Despite having known each other since their youth, and even having played together as professional musicians for some of the who’s who of gospel music, the guys didn’t come together as The Sacred Groove until 2002. Immediately the group discovered their collective gift and begun scribing original material. It wasn’t long before they were packing local coffee houses and taking main stage at special events. After just a few months the group was receiving overwhelming support from their fans. That immediately inspired the group to hit the studio. After just one year together as a group the band produced it’s debut CD “A New Day”.
The CD hit the streets in June 2003 to rave reviews. 105.7 FM The Oasis veteran smooth jazz jock Cat Lee said “This band is tight, I had to include it in my groove, can you dig it?” “The phones were buzzing!”
The group continues to do what it does best; wow audiences with their live performances. The energy that The Sacred Groove pumps out during a concert spreads like wildfire through their faithful following of fans and first time listeners alike.
