Saint's poems are thought provoking, They make you contemplate things in way that you may never have thought of. He is able to find humor in the most basic of ideas. Everyday life is his muse. His stories can relate to anyone from a 10 year old child to a 87 year old grandmother.

Biography

Saint hails from Stockton, CA. His writing journey began in high school constructing love poems to girls he was afraid to talk to. When that didn’t work, he tabled his writing indefinitely. A few years ago, a nationwide spoken word competition came to his city and he decided to enter in it for fun. He never looked back. He has since performed internationally and has released 2 CD's, a chapbook, and a DVD documentary entitled "Rise To the Ill-List: Poetic Journey of The Saint". His style infuses humor, passion, and ideals which inspire as well as entertain. He has opened for hip-hop artists Talib Kweli and Lupe Fiasco and has shared the stage with R&B legends Bel Biv Devoe and Faith Evans. He is the 2009 “Ill-List” Champion and 2010 “King of the Mic” Champion. He has been on the 2010 San Francisco Slam Team, 2011 Oakland Slam Team and was the coach, slammaster, and Grand Slam Champion for the 2012 Pierced Ear Poetry Slam team. His most recent accomplishment is being selected to be on Season 3 of the NAACP Image Award nominated show "Verses and Flow".
