Toledo, Ohio's The Sanderlings are a rock and roll band. The Sanderlings came onto the scene in September of 2006.
The Sanderlings celebrate the music of influential rock and roll pioneers along with current innovators. Listening to the Sanderlings will make your foot begin to tap, followed by the need to get up out of your seat and shake that…well you get the picture. They steal your attention while paying homage to icons who have shaped their understanding of what real rock and roll should be, and they pay for it with their own cash, sweat and bloody fingers. Simply said they create something original that is real and fun.
The Sanderlings are currently recording their first full-length album. The first EP from the album will be released in January of 2007, with the entire project being completed at Firefly studios in Haskins, Ohio with a projected release date of December 2007.
In past bands members of The Sanderlings have opened for acts such as The Greenhorne’s, The Heartless Bastards, Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, Dakona, The Bigger Lovers among others. The Sanderlings have played at Ann Arbor’s Blind Pig, Toledo’s Headliners, Toledo’s Vamps and Waterville’s Keeter’s, but they are not going to stop there. They are ready to come to your town, to rock you socks off and take your mom out to dinner.
The Sanderlings are Josh Evans, Ben Master, Jonathan Rodebaugh and Jon Kynard. They play for the love of the music, the love of the crowd and to bring the real rock and roll to a town near you.
