Biography

The Sapphire Project started with many early basement jams in the beginning of 2005. Singer/Guitarist Aaron Sheldon had some songs that he wanted to jam out to see what kind of potential they had with some other musicans. Aaron got together with longtime friend and bass player Sean Meyers and friend and old bandmate Nate Read in his basement to jam out these ideas and travel to some impromptu ideas. Soon afterwards longtime friend Mike Rodgers brought his hand percussion and celtic influences to the table to create the foundation of The Sapphire Project. The band played a few college shows and house parties before they realized that the music was undeniable, and that the future was written in the cosmos. In the fall of 2006 The Sapphire Project came across a keys player,Elliot Morgan, with the right mindset and the longevity needed for the live shows and the drive for a great album.

The Sapphire Project has been known for its unpredicatble sets of sonic euphoria. People from many different backgrounds and tastes have come to the shows because of the many genres intertwined into one set. The band has been known to play for 45 minutes up to 4 hours. The only way to describe The Sapphire Project is to come experience The Sapphire Project.

Distant Babble

Written By: Aaron Sheldon

Distant Babble Written by Aaron Sheldon

VERSE
These streets, so old
a distant babble from the bistro language i dont know
as is expected
thats how it goes in those French towns of old
VERSE
Hover speed, turbulance abrupt
watchin that old gold sunset upon the Roman aquaduct
From this perch on top of history I feel im kissing Aphrodite
and this illusion from thin atmosphere says wish you could be trapped in time right here
JAM SECTION
VERSE
A plane or a phone
use whatever vessel to make you feel at home
or alone in this distant land
its all you need to know
VERSE
Energy its possible to yield
on a speeding train from Paris gliding through sunflower fields
a look of wonder eases in to whether
these eyes ever see this land again

Bison

Written By: Aaron Sheldon

Bison (Cold Stream Lodge) Written by Aaron Sheldon

VERSE
Its hard to mistake with the stars in your eyes the riddle of time on the path you decide
up to the mountains an image they show
winding and winding down old country roads
CHORUS
See them in orasnges I see them in reds
see the light shine across sofas and beds CHORUS
feel sun shinin on down to this sphere
see that the sun dont got nothin to fear
VERSE
On the direction where this path has led
some set the hazard signs off in your head
miles away from a trap they call dodge
but everythings fine at this old cold stream lodge
CHORUS
Well many have come , many will go
many forget all the tales they were told
escape for a while from a trap they call dodge
cause everythings fine at this old cold stream lodge
JAM SECTION (through verse and chorus)
VERSE
Disregard critics that hold you back last
keep you excited distracted at best
hold your mind focused and someday youll tell
on the road thats less traveled its lonely as hell
CHORUS
Of values and morals that wither like sand
a bison that stands for the excess of man
in the hills west Virginia the loose ends get tied
lifes so much better with the sun in your eyes

Lavender and Blue

Written By: Aaron Sheldon

Lavender and Blue Writtten by Aaron Sheldon

VERSE
Im having difficulty breathing
search for safe haven from this fire
the light that I have tried to see
is all to bright and blinding me
maybe I have set my sights to high

CHORUS
Unfold from this censored mind designed to keep you free from sin
Im sold on the notion this love keeps us all tapped in
in time you will see these colors that I view you consist of lavender and blue

VERSE
Have we been asking the right questions
does this love satisfy your life
is this the risk we dare to take
will these fragile pieces break
will anybody notice when I die

CHORUS
Unfold from this censored mind designed to keep you free from sin
Im sold on the notion this love keeps us all tapped in
in time you will see these colors that I view you consist of lavender and blue
