Bio
The Satire, based out of Chicago, IL, was started in 2003 as a project band by Living Sacrifices Lance Garvin and The Blamed's Bryan Gray. Lance and Bryan started working together after Bryan left The Blamed to play in Living Sacrifice, but soon after the band dispersed and The Satire was conceived.
Bryan met guitarist Jason Thompson at a Living Sacrifice show after Jason approached Bryan because everyone thinks they are brothers and Jason was often mistaken for being in The Blamed. His current band was getting ready to play their last show, and Bryan was looking for musicians to collaborate with. Timing is everything.
In the early stages, The Satire was known as The Blamed Is Dead, and played several Cornerstone Festivals (IL, NC, FL) as well as Freakstock in Boxborg, Germany. Since then they have persevered on as The Satire, and shared the stage with such artists as The Chariot, A Life Once Lost, Spitfire, Fear Before The March Of Flames, Heavy Heavy Low Low, Damiera, The Handshake Murders, Benea Reach, Scarlet and countless others.
After recording in February at Electrical Audio with Greg Norman (who recorded such bands as Neurosis, Pelican, Zwan, Russian Circles, Sleeping At Last, Godspeed! You Black Emperor and The Blamed's final album Give Us Barabbas on Tooth & Nail Records) The Satire polished their sound; ready to bring everything they have to the table.
Come bust a move to where the games are played, it's chill, it's fresh, it's Noah's Arcade The Satire.
