Bio

It's cool to be in a Rock Band again.
The Scam is a Rock Band.
A steal your girlfriend, drink your whisky, smoke your stash and thanks for the good times unabashed rock n' roll band with a fistful of big Arena hooks in one hand and big middle Finger on the other.

Somewhere along the line, somebody in the music biz flipped a switch and told everyone it's cool to be in a rock band again and went out and found a bunch of hip posers. Well, The Scam never got the memo. They've always been what they are, and suddenly it's hip to be The Scam.

Big molten grooves, fat, mountainous Bonzo drums, rippin my guitar wants to give your mama the blues licks, punctuated with Chris Murphy's soulful classic rock scream and 4 string steam train bass guitar. Chris Murphy is a dangerous man, armed with a trunk full of classic rock knowledge and a voice that is reflective of a lot more crazy stories than a 28 year old kid from Boston should have.

Yeah, sure they've played every watering hole from Maine to Maryland, headlined and sold out clubs in their hometown of Boston Massachusetts, including being regulars at Aerosmith's prestigious Mama Kin nightclub, they've probably hit on your girlfriend too… but what makes The Scam so unique is their steadfast refusal to cow tow to the industry flavor of the month. While the music biz was busy making wannabes like Three Doors left and Nickelcrack stars, The Scam were busy being themselves: a Rock band, and a dangerous one at that.

The Scam is a Rock Band, A real Rock Band.

And suddenly - It's cool to be The Scam.
