The Scarlets

BandRock

The Scarlets combine a classic indie rock sound with subtle latin undertones to create a musical experience that is unique, but familiar.

Biography

Seattle, WA's The Scarlets play rhythmic, vocally powerful indie rock peppered with latin and afro-cuban influences. Formed in 2005 by cousins Seth Littlefield and Noah Wecker, they were later joined by childhood friend Shaun Stangler. They broke out with their first EP early in 2007 and have since formed a small but dedicated grassroots following in the Bremerton and Seattle areas. They plan on touring next Spring, after the release of their first full length album.

Lyrics

Pick a Card

Written By: Seth Littlefield, Noah Wecker

Pick a card she said as I open up,
telling her of all the sins that begins to walk your earth.
Hold it up, look once but don't forgettin' what you see today.
Running a race where no ones first.

You're feet aren't on the ground.
I'll buy another round.
I think I'm going down today.

Drink a cup she said as I straightened up.
Telling her of all the pain that remains in your soul.
Hold it up, drink once, but don't forgettin' what you taste today.
Using the last when there's no more.

You're feet aren't on the ground.
I'll buy another round.
I think I'm going down today.

It took some time.
It rattled you.
You know your heart,
was built for two.
You found at last what you had to do.
Oh now, you know.

You gave it all a tough debut.
You know her words are overdue.
You found at last what you had to do.

Oh now, you know.
Oh now, you know.

You're feet aren't on the ground.
I'll buy another round.
I think I'm going down today.

You took some time.
It rattled you.
You know your heart was built for two.
You found at last what you had to do.
Oh now, you know.
Oh now, you know.
Oh now, you know.

You're feet aren't on the ground.
I'll buy another round.
I think I'm going down today.

Pick a card she said as I open up.
Telling her of all the sins that begins to walk your earth.
Hold it up, look once but don't forgettin' what you see today.
Running a race... running a race... running a race.
