The Scenic Route started in March 2011 and with all four members of the band coming out of San Diego,CA with previous experience in other bands in the past come together to make The Scenic Route rise from busy streets of North County. Hernando does karaoke at bars to get his vocals in check before a good performance. Brandon being in and out of bands and also handling his solo act ( The Spelling Bee Champ) brings a big offer to the table with his talent on the guitar. Venecia aka Vanessa had her ups and downs with unsuccessful bands but gained a lot of experience for the drums (which being self-taught). Scott has lots of experience with other bands, recording, and knowing others in the same industry. Scott was the last member to join the band.
