Bio

THE SCREAMIN' PRIMAS, A TRIBUTE TO LOUIS PRIMA began with 8 musicians that came out of a 17 piece Swing band based in San Diego, CA. Out of love for Louis Prima music and the desire to put together a band like no other in the nation, they formed The Screamin Primas.

The members in THE SCREAMIN' PRIMAS have played with and for the best artists in the nation.
The list includes; Aretha Franklin, Paul Anka, David Foster, The Drifters, Frankie Valli, Barry Manilow, The Temptations, the Manhatten Transfer and more.

The SCREAMIN' PRIMAS show was recently brought back for an encore run at The Lawrence Welk Resort Theater in San Diego. The run was from February to the end of March, 2007. Here are email comments from audience members;

"Outstanding performance. Very lively. Very much the flavor of Prima."

"My husband and I went with friends to see your show tonight. It was fabulous! Prima and Smith were protrayed so well and I did so love Lynette's interaction with the band as well as the audience. The band and the vocals were outstanding!!!!"

"Caught your show last Friday night. It was a blast! We were a party of 8 and all of us has a great time. You and your band were outstanding."

"We were extremely fortunate to have been a part of your concert at the Lawrence Welk Resort last night [March 16, 2007]!! What an experience! What joy! And the obvious cohesiveness and fun you exhibit as a wonderful talented group of musicians!! Every member of the band was an entertainer extraordinaire [especially the brass section]!! The vocals were fantastic and the enthusiasm and the "hyperactive" and talented joyful renditions of "Louis Prima" and his personna were amazing!! Lynette WAS Keeley Smith."

"Last night, the burst of energy that flooded the Welk Theatre, made it necessary to make this a RED INK E Mail!
We were a party of 8 and every last one of us could only marvel at the quality of the voices, (Lynette, your Mambo Italiano beat Rosemary's totally!) The instramentalists, each and every one a consumate professional.... filled the room, and every one there, with memories of an easier time in America, and the jazz sound and ethnic jibes that we all remember and still love so much.
