The Secret Silence is a 5-piece rock/progressive band from Brisbane, Australia.
Blending their heavily influential 90's rock influences with modern progressive rock sounds and soaring vocal melodies,
The Secret Silence continue to explore the realms of musical possibility by creating music that is exciting, passionate, and inspiring.

The idea was born when Cian Warbrick (guitars) and Elliot Burton (bass) began writing and recording music again after their previous projects had disbanded due to creative differences.
It was obvious that they were on the same page in respect to their desire to create something new and exciting, and it was inevitable that they would eventually start a project that would bring together 5 of the most talented and passionate musicians in Brisbane.
 
The first EP was recorded in the winter of 2010 with Cian doing the guitar work as well as the recording and mixing, and Elliot on the bass, drums and keyboards. It was at this time that Shane Finney (vocals) answered an ad for a vocalist who could sing brilliant melody and
bring something unique to the table, and the result was impressive to say the least.

The inclusion of Jock Mackay on second guitar and Matt Brook on the drums (after a lengthy search) rounded out a very formidable and tight unit,who are more than ready to get out there and deliver the experience that is - The Secret Silence.

Work is currently underway with rehearsals and the writing process for the second EP, which will be much more of a collaborative effort with all the
members of the band, which is an exciting prospect as all five members can provide unique and powerful elements to the music.
2011 promises to be a big year for The Secret Silence, with many shows and recording sessions on the cards.
