These Days is three ladies who play dark, urgent post-punk.  Think UNWOUND having an affair with the WIPERS, smoking a post-coital cigarette with PJ HARVEY. What sets them apart is the intense energy they create as a unit, and their raw fearlessness and forthright openness with their emotions.

Biography

These Days is comprised of three ladies who play a specific breed of dark and urgent post-punk. Think UNWOUND having an affair with the WIPERS, smoking a post-coital cigarette with PJ HARVEY. One MRR (Maximum Rock and Roll) reviewer said they reminded them "...of those DC area bands like TSUNAMI or GEEK." So, of course, responses are varied, but it's unbridled wildness all the time. They sing love songs like "Stay" (from their S/T 7" 2011), and musings on loss and renewal, as in "Holding Out" (unreleased). What sets them apart is the intense energy they create as a unit, and their raw fearlessness and forthright openness with their emotions.
